Run with me in the Tyr Maverick. They’re using a supercritical foam, Flight Time, that promises more airtime with each stride and fewer steps required per mile. I haven’t looked too deep into that specific claim, but the foam is lightweight, airy, and bouncy. The shoe has a pleasant squish but couples it with a very fast response for an experience that is lovely yet cushioned. This run was a recovery run, and the shoe was pleasant. A subsequent run was an easy run and I definitely found myself inadvertently picking up the pace a bit. Further testing will be to easy if the shoe has long run potential. The shoe it foot shaped with a wide toe box. It almost feels too big for me. But it’s a large shoe with a light weight, thanks to the materials chosen for the upper and that light Flight Time foam. .
