LaMelo's Fatal Flaw: Why He Can't Shoot Right (And Defenses Don't Know)
LaMelo's shooting mechanics are fascinating to break down. That chest-pass style jumper from the left side of his body explains why he's money going left on his pull-ups but struggles going right. It's all about alignment to the rim.
What really gets me is how defenses STILL haven't adjusted to this. If you're scouting properly, you should know by now that LaMelo's go-to move is that left-side pull-up three. Force him right and make him uncomfortable.
The Hornets don't have much talent around him, so I get why he feels like he has to create everything himself. But when your star player has such a clear tendency, opposing coaches should be all over that in their game plan.
