I've been saying this for weeks - the KAT and Brunson defensive pairing is a championship killer. You can't have two guys who need major playoff minutes but can't guard at an elite level. Combo called it perfectly - they're pretenders.⁣ ⁣ The offensive adjustments aren't seamless either. Brunson's drifting to corners, watching more than usual, then going into hero mode for 6-7 possessions. That's not championship basketball.⁣ ⁣ Thibs went from calling everything to letting them play free-form, and the transition is messy. Even with Mikal, OG, and Mitch, I don't see how this defensive foundation holds up in May and June.
