Kailas FUGA EX PRO review - first run and first impressions. Today I’m testing out the brand-new Kailas Fuga EX Pro trail running shoes – a carbon plated model that promises speed, propulsion, and efficiency on the trails. Over the years I’ve reviewed and tested a wide range of trail shoes from Kailas, and I’ve always enjoyed the ride. But the Fuga EX Pro is something completely different – it’s designed with a carbon fibre plate, something I’ve always been a little sceptical about in trail running shoes. Do we really need carbon plates for technical terrain, or is it just marketing hype? In this video, I put the Kailas Fuga EX Pro to the test, sharing my first impressions, thoughts on comfort, fit, grip, cushioning, and of course, that carbon plate.
