Kick Test! #theraceclub
One of our favorite ways to test a swimmer's kick ability is by having them complete this quick test! By doing 2x50s for time with ample rest, we compare the two times to see the difference. Often times, the swimmer who struggles to stay within that 10 second barrier has extremely stiff ankles - limiting their propulsion.
The fins will force the ankle to move freely both directions, however when we take the fins off - our weaknesses can be exposed. If your swimmer can be within a 5 second difference, they are doing it RIGHT!!!
