This is part one of a three part series where I take someone through the journey from an occasional bike rider to being a confident road cyclist.
When getting back on the bike and dusting off your old faithful which has been rusting away in the shed for a decade or more, it can be hard to understand how other cyclists are so much faster than you as they blast past at literally twice the speed. This is even worse on race day where you're woking hard but getting repeatedly blitzed.
In this week's episode I look at why you (probably) need a road bike and different frame materials as well as essential cycling accessories you need to get started and riding successfully.
