Sub 24 Lakeland 100 - Can I Actually Do It?
Back in May I ran the Hardmoors 200 Ultra Marathon, A non-stop 200 mile race in the North of England with a 60 hour cut off. It was the hardest race of my life. I loved it, but I finished injured, exhausted, and completely fried, mentally and emotionally. For a while I genuinely wondered if that was it for me and racing.
But there’s still one goal I’ve never managed to grab hold of, a sub‑24 Lakeland 100.
I picked that 24‑hour target for the Lakeland 100 out of thin air years ago and I’ve tried five times to beat the clock. Five attempts… and every single time I’ve come up short.
So I’ve decided to give the 100 one more go.
In 2027, I’ll be back at Lakeland. And this time, I’m keeping a record of the whole journey, the rebuild, the setbacks, the progress, and whatever comes next. Good luck if you bag a place in the 2027 Lakeland 50 or 100
I recieve so many images and videos. That is awesome, but I can't remember who to give credit too! Please DM me if I have used something without credit. Thanks, Gary
