Are you breathing every single stroke? You are killing your momentum. ππββοΈ
Swimming
A huge mistake swimmers make is having zero consistency with their breathing pattern. Breathing on every single stroke causes you to over-rotate, which completely destroys your rhythm and speed.
To build real endurance, you need a consistent pattern:
Every 3 strokes: This naturally balances your stroke and forces you to breathe on both sides.
Every 2 strokes: It is completely fine to favor a dominant side and breathe every two strokes, especially on longer swims!
