May 17, 2025: Friends Kenneth Serrano and Charles Rogers FaceTimed from their corrals at the start of the 2025 RBC Brooklyn Half. It was the last time they spoke.
Charles suffered a cardiac arrest at about mile 8 and passed away at Maimonides Medical Center despite lifesaving efforts.
Today, Kenneth took on the 2026 RBC Brooklyn Half in Charles' honor.
