STRING TIP #12 - Do monofilament strings increase the risk of injury?

👉 Polyester strings are stiffer than multifilament strings
👉 They’re designed with frequent string changes in mind, which is why they’re widely used by pro players
👉 For club players, playing with a polyester string for too long can lead to more arm fatigue and discomfort in the elbow, shoulder or wrist
👉 Multifilament strings offer greater comfort and can be a better option for players who don’t restring regularly
Our stringer’s advice: only play with polyester if you break strings regularly or restring frequently. Otherwise, a multifilament can provide a more comfortable setup.
