BREAKING: George MacIntyre Starting Quarterback for Tennessee Football

Tennessee Volunteers (reportedly) officially name George MacIntyre starting quarterback ahead of their SEC showdown with Arkansas. After an impressive relief performance against Auburn, MacIntyre gets the nod as Josh Heupel looks to jumpstart the Vols’ offense and seize momentum in the second half of the season.

Eric Cain highlights MacIntyre’s efficient outing, breaks down Tennessee’s evolving quarterback strategy, and examines what this shift means for Faizon Brandon’s role moving forward. Can Tennessee leverage MacIntyre’s strengths to unlock their tempo offense, or will the Vols face more growing pains at the position? Key talking points include Heupel’s week-to-week decision process, injury updates, and the potential for situational packages featuring Brandon—plus a look ahead to how the Vols’ game plan might change against SEC rivals like Alabama and LSU.
