Josh Heupel Must Pick a Tennessee Football QB: Faizon Brandon or George MacIntyre

Tennessee Volunteers face a pivotal quarterback question as Josh Heupel weighs starting George MacIntyre or sticking with Faizon Brandon against the struggling Arkansas Razorbacks. After Brandon battled injuries and inconsistent play—including ten sacks versus Texas and a tough showing against Auburn—MacIntyre provided a spark off the bench, completing 8 of 10 passes and leading the offense efficiently. Will the Vols ride the hot hand or invest in the long-term development of their freshman phenom?

Eric Cain and Chris Gordy break down Tennessee’s offensive conundrum, spotlighting DeSean Bishop’s dominance in the ground game, the challenges with the Volunteers’ offensive line, and the defense’s steady presence. With an SEC showdown against Alabama looming, the stakes are high for Heupel’s quarterback decision. Can Tennessee find offensive consistency and keep pace in the playoff race? Don’t miss the latest analysis and inside perspectives on the Volunteers’ high-stakes journey.
