Don shares stories from coaching Rick DeMont to world records, founding the Creative Performance Institute, and his lifelong passion for the sport—even coaching seniors and Masters at North Bay Aquatics into his late 70s.
Tragically, Don passed away on February 6, 2026, at age 79 while vacationing in Costa Rica. This episode, originally released in 2023, stands as a beautiful tribute to one of swimming's most innovative and generous minds. His words on confidence, risk-taking, learning from history, and the "easiest" breakthroughs remain as relevant as ever.
