The New York Mets Should Sign Clay Holmes ASAP! | The PERFECT Insurance For the Tarik Skubal Pursuit

New York Mets look to lock in Clay Holmes as their top offseason priority, aiming to solidify their rotation before the free agent market heats up.

Could Holmes be the durable, high-upside arm New York desperately needs to stabilize the middle of their pitching staff?

The decision is crucial as the Mets weigh elite options like Tarik Skubal and face the risk of missing out if they put all their eggs in one basket.

Key discussion points include the strengths and contract outlooks of mid-tier starters such as Nick Martinez and Nick Pivetta, the strategic importance of early signings, and fallback scenarios if the Mets fail to land Skubal.

The conversation explores intriguing trade possibilities, including a nostalgic Jacob deGrom return and the pros and cons of targeting Luis Severino.

Will the Mets’ rotation be playoff-ready, or could delays in free agency leave them scrambling for answers ahead of the new season?
