Newfound Free Agents Who Could Be PERFECT for the Mets | Is Nick Pivetta Worth the Injury Risk?

New York Mets see unexpected free agents enter the market as Nick Pivetta, Ryan Mountcastle, and Heston Kjerstad become intriguing options.

Could Pivetta's proven strikeout ability and Mountcastle's elite numbers against left-handed pitching be the keys to reshaping the Mets' roster?

The search for a first base platoon partner heats up, with discussions centering on potential minor league deals and defensive upgrades.

The conversation focused on which qualifying offer free agents might actually fit in Queens, breaking down the risks and rewards of targeting Randy Arozarena, Seiya Suzuki, Adrian Morejon, and David Bednar.

Several points were raised, including the Mets’ latest waiver claims, 40-man roster implications, and Carson Benge’s shot at Rookie of the Year honors.

Are the Mets poised for under-the-radar upgrades, or will familiar issues persist into 2026?
