Colton Neu | Building Networks and Pursuing Passions

From a small town in Illinois to Lawrence, Kansas, Colton Neu is building something new. In this conversation, the founder of the Lawrence Crimson Storm travel basketball program talks about how he got there and where he's taking it.

Colton goes through his path:

• It started as a high school student manager in Illinois.
• It continued with athletics work at Kansas.
• He also ran a grassroots sports page covering local high school teams.

• How it got started
• How the season is set up and how he's working to add more games and a postseason-style tournament
• His plan to build community through a parent-led booster club
• His offensive and defensive philosophy
• What his ideal practice looks like
• Whether he'd ever come back to coach in Illinois

He explains why he decided to chase his passion instead of settling into teaching. He also shares how he's built a network in a new town by being personal and showing initiative.

We also get into the program itself.
