Overturned Goals, Power Play Woes, Short-handed Goals & Doinks Off the Posts In Avs Shootout Loss

Colorado Avalanche drop a frustrating shootout to Dallas Stars after two disallowed goals and continued power play woes. Should fans be worried about Avalanche's special teams, or is this just early-season turbulence?

Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson dissect Colorado’s 3-2 shootout loss, spotlighting Cale Makar's uncharacteristic turnover, Nathan MacKinnon's missed opportunities, and the Avalanche’s failure to capitalize on the power play—inept since opening night. Key discussions include the controversy surrounding overturned goals, Gabe Landeskog's net-front presence, and Gavin Brindley's impact in limited minutes. With recurring issues like shorthanded goals allowed and missed zone assignments against divisional rival Dallas Stars, what must Jared Bednar do to right the ship?

Can the Avalanche reclaim their scoring touch and defensive discipline before it costs them critical points? Don’t miss this incisive breakdown of Colorado's battle against a Western Conference contender.
