In today's episode, Karen and Rachel catch up on what they’ve been up to, including Rachel’s week in Tahoe with her family and Karen writing “don’t get chicked” in chalk for all the runners of Chicago to see.
The Chicks also chat about Femke Broeders-Bol’s breakthrough season in the 800m after making the jump from the 400m hurdles. They get into her first season at the distance, her incredibly close race with Audrey Werro at the Brussels Diamond League final, and the current state of the women’s 800m.
They also get into heart rate monitors and the COROS arm band and take a trip down memory lane with some old race results, close races, and the weird ways runners remember their own PRs.
Plus: How do you approach racing a marathon on your anniversary?
