Jason Robertson scored a natural hat trick in a 5:20 span of the second period, the third-fastest natural hat trick in Stars franchise history, as Dallas went into Capital One Arena and beat the Washington Capitals 6-5 on Tuesday night. Robertson (508) finished with a four-point night, passing Bill Goldsworthy (506) for 12th place on the Stars all-time franchise list for career points. Miro Heiskanen suffered an upper body injury on the first shift of the second period and did not return. Roope Hintz had a three-point night (1 goal, 2 assists) and Mikko Rantanen’s goal gave him 800 career NHL points, becoming the fourth Finnish-born player to reach the milestone. Jordan Kyrou (1 goal, 2 assists) led the way for the Capitals, who never led in the game, but still made a valiant effort at a late comeback.
