Dallas Stars all-world defenseman Miro Heiskanen was forced to leave Tuesday night’s game against the Washington Capitals early in the second period with an upper body and did not return, as the Stars held on for a wild 6-5 win over at Capital One Arena. Heiskanen was on the receiving end of a body check by Washington forward Justin Sourdif and left the ice after his first shift of the second period. As we wait for an update on the severity of Heiskanen’s injury, we examine how the Stars absorbed the loss of Miro back during the 2024-25 season when he suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery in a collision with Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone. Also today, Stars rookie defenseman Trey Taylor will join the show live from Columbus, Ohio, ahead of tomorrow night’s game against the Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena. Plus, Jason Robertson’s natural hat trick led the Stars to victory last night, while Plano voters reject a ballot proposition that would have helped the City of Plano fund their pledged contribution of $700 million toward a new billion-dollar arena at the Shops at Willow Bend site. The Winnipeg Jets made NHL history with an epic late comeback against the Montréal Canadiens at Bell Centre last night. Oh yeah, and Connor Hellebuyck issued a public letter to Jets fans on his Instagram account today.
