POSTCAST: Losing Streak Hits FIVE As Mets SHUTOUT By Aaron Nola, Phillies

The New York Mets didn't get their first hit till the 6th inning and had no answers for the Philadelphia Phillies pitching in 3-0 loss.

Pitching was the story in this one, with Aaron Nola outdueling Nolan McLean and the Mets unable to cash in late against the Phillies bullpen. McLean was solid tonight, allowing just one earned run over 6 innings and was able to finish his outing after a scary moment saw him accidentally knee first baseman Jared Young in the head.

Young was carted off the field but did give a thumbs up to the crowd and the Mets reported that he was being evaluated in the hospital but did have feeling in his extremities.

Against Nola, the Mets were held without a hit through the first five innings before Nick Morabito got them into the hit column. Unfortunately, the few chances the Mets did have in this one, they couldn't capitalize on.

Zac Thornton will go tomorrow for the Mets, as they look to snap a 5 game losing skid.
