Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill Says Jake Oettinger Needs To Be More Consistent | DLLS Stars Podcast

During his end-of-season press conference last week, Dallas Stars general manager Jim Nill stated that starting goaltender Jake Oettinger needs to be more consistent in his play. On today’s show, we will examine that thought, hearing from both Nill and Oettinger on their thoughts for the season, the summer and beyond. Then, we will welcome back to the show former NHL video coach Steve “Petey” Peters, a former NCAA Division I goaltender himself. Petey will share his takes on Jake Oettinger’s game, the Stars tactical issues to address for next season and also his time working for the Arizona Coyotes when new Toronto Maple Leafs GM John Chayka was in charge of hockey operations for the Yotes. We’ll finish the show with a look at the Stanley Cup Playoffs: Colorado taking a 3-1 lead over Minnesota, Montréal-Buffalo and Vegas-Anaheim in action tonight and Carolina once again resting and waiting for their next opponent.
