Nikita Kucherov is ANOTHER monster trade pursuit for the Buffalo Sabres to go after

Nikita Kucherov has told the Tampa Bay Lightning that he will not re-sign and has asked for a trade! A stunning turn of events in Tampa sets up for another giant trade idea for the Sabres to go after. However, this one does seem less likely than the others. The bigger conversation is about Kucherov and the Montréal Canadiens. There's smoke that could eventually be his destination and that should put more pressure on the Sabres to make a big move of their own.

Plus, the Sabres beat the Anaheim Ducks in a wild 7-6 win where Tage Thompson put up a 3-goal, 5-point masterpiece. Colten Ellis meanwhile had a bunch of incredible saves, but did end up letting in six goals.
