Unlock MASSIVE Distance with This Wrist Hinge Drill
I’ve watched thousands of students struggle with distance, and very often it comes down to the same thing: Dead stiff wrists in the backswing.
I see it every day on the range - golfers fighting their natural power source because they think a “firm grip” means “locked wrists.”
Here’s my proven drill to unlock your power:
1. Choke down halfway on a 7-iron and hold it in front of you
2. Make slow backswings, focusing ONLY on your wrist hinge - the grip end should point down at the ball ⬇️
3. Once you feel that, make 5 real swings focusing on that same loaded feeling
Your wrists should feel loose but in control. If you’re doing it right, you’ll hear a distinct “whoosh” through impact.
