Lose the ball. The round is over.
For Episode 4 of One Ball Rule, I traveled to Shinnecock Hills — one of the most iconic and demanding U.S. Open venues in golf — with only ONE golf ball for the entire round.
Ahead of the 2026 U.S. Open, the USGA invited us out for their annual media day to experience the course under championship-style conditions and explore the history behind one of golf’s greatest tests.
Along the way, I teed it up with Rick Shiels, Peter Finch, and Erik Anders Lang while also beginning preparations for my upcoming debut on the Your Golf Tour later this year.
Firm fairways. Brutal rough. Fast greens. No bailout shots.
The rules are simple:
One ball for the entire round.
If I lose it, the video ends.
Could you survive Shinnecock Hills with one golf ball?
