The Hand Move That Makes Lob Shots Stop Fast

Ever feel like your backswing is just a lift of the arms, with no coil behind it?
Most golfers try to fix this by swinging back further or faster. It feels like more power, but without real width and sequencing it just adds tension and takes speed away from where it actually matters, the downswing.
Here is what you actually want:
✅ Let the entire right side of your body lengthen going back, this builds real width and stores the coil instead of just lifting the arms.
✅ Feel light on your feet as you reach the top, that is the pressure gathering under you before it releases into the downswing.
✅ Get the back of your right shoulder facing the target at the top, this confirms you have made a full turn instead of stopping the swing short.
Try this drill: make slow backswings to the top and pause, checking that your right side has lengthened, your feet feel light and the back of your right shoulder is pointing at from the target, before you ever swing through.
Do this properly and your backswing stops being a lift of the arms and starts being the source of your power.
