Are you taking more than 40 strokes per lap? You are destroying your speed. ππββοΈ
Swimming
Your goal should be to increase the amount of distance you travel with every single pull. But there is a very careful balance between swimming efficiently and actually slowing yourself down.
The Math: In a 50-meter pool, taking 25 strokes means you are traveling 2 meters per stroke. Taking 40+ strokes means you are spinning your wheels and wasting energy.
The Over-Gliding Trap: There is a point where trying to be too efficient causes you to glide and stretch too much, which completely kills your rotational momentum.
