In a dramatic breaking story there was only one semifinal at Roland-Garros today as Matteo Arnaldi shocked the tennis world when he pulled out the men's semifinal as the crowd was entering Philippe-Chatrier for the night session.
He claimed he was too unwell to play and had been sick during the night and had a fever from a viral illness. He shared all of this information in an in person press conference with his friend and now finalist Flavio Cobolli in the room albeit socially distanced.
Joel and Chris ask should have tried to play given this might be his only chance at a semifinal and if he made the right decision to hold a joint press conference whilst he could be infection. They reflect on Sinner and Serena Williams playing sick and how they fared playing their matches as welll as how on earth the chain of events occurred that put Arnaldi and Cobolli in the same room doing press for an individual sport.
