In one of the most shocking moves of the year, Ben Shelton has just hired Carlos Alcaraz’s former coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, for the 2027 season!
Ferrero, who guided Alcaraz to six Grand Slam titles before their split at the end of 2025, will now join forces with the current World No. 4. Shelton is bringing the Spanish mastermind into his camp alongside his father, Bryan Shelton, to help him finally break through and win his first Major.

We break down exactly why this partnership is so dangerous for the rest of the ATP Tour, how they will work together, and what Alcaraz thinks about his biggest rival buying his former coach's secrets!
