Our FIRST Belgian Trail Race Was Harder Than Expected! | European Trail Running Road Trip | Ep 2

Our 2026 European road trip was off to a great start, and after crossing into Belgium, it was time for our first trail race of the trip!

Liga had discovered a local trail race in the town of Lesve, and we decided to take on the 18km distance as part of our preparation for the Gauja Trail 50K by UTMB in Latvia a few weeks later.

Neither of us really knew what to expect as this was our first ever trail race in Belgium, but one thing is for sure, it turned out to be a LOT tougher than we were expecting! From the trails and terrain to the climbs, this race certainly put us through our paces.
