The Simple Band Drill for a More Powerful Golf Swing
Keep the session moving with another watch from the same channel.
Ever feel like your driver swing gets “stuck” halfway down?
Some golfers keep the ball in the same spot no matter which club they’ve got in hand. It feels consistent, so it feels right. But a driver is a longer club, and a central ball position built for clubs where we need a descending ball blow such as an iron. If you do this with driver the club has to come down steeper than it should, and you’re fighting your own set up before you’ve even started the swing.
Here is what you actually want:
✅ Move the ball forward in your stance with the driver, not central like your irons. This gives the club room to arrive on a shallower path instead of getting jammed on the way down.
Get this right and the strike changes completely. Instead of catching the top of the club and popping it up, you’re sweeping through and letting the ball fly off the face.
