Freestyle feels easier when you learn how to hold your body long, tall, and balanced in the water.
Palm facing backwards = better propulsion, higher hips, stronger finish.
Earlier catch, especially on the right arm (breathing side)
Freestyle breathing timing feels off? This cue changes when the breath actually happens.
Head too deep = harder breathing
Stop trying to “roll” your body. Rotate by pivoting as you reach forward.
Should they?
Water over the knuckles = right depth. Hand drops below the shoulder = too deep.
Hand exits early instead of pushing past the upper thigh. That cuts off the last part of propulsion.
Effort alone doesnt equal speed.
