In part two of our series on "Your Guide To Taking Great Parkrun Photos", we are going to go beyond the basics and focus on composition. Composition is an essential element of any photograph and involves how elements like lines, shapes, and colors come together to create a picture. To get the most out of parkrun photography, there are a few tips to keep in mind. The rule of thirds is an important concept; it divides your image into three equal parts horizontally and vertically. Leading lines help draw attention to the subject, while having your subjects framed with elements of the environment can add context to your photos. Make sure you fill the frame with your subjects as this adds a personal connection; avoid overcrowding as that can distract from your main subject. Lastly, keep an eye out for stories or moments that tell a bigger tale – these tend to be most memorable. Putting all these elements together will help elevate your parkrun photography game!
