2026 Long Shots Golf Awards: Player of the Year, Biggest Bust & More

Matt Brown, Kelley Bydlon, and Wes Reynolds wrap up the 2026 PGA Tour season with the first annual Long Shots Golf Betting Podcast Awards!

The crew hands out awards for Event of the Year, Most Improved Player, Comeback Player of the Year, Breakthrough Player, Biggest Bust, Rookie of the Year, Personal MVP, Least Valuable Player, and Player of the Year.

They debate the thrilling Players Championship versus The Masters, discuss Cameron Young's rise, Gary Woodland's inspiring comeback, Chris Gotterup's breakthrough season, the impressive rookie campaigns of Alex Fitzpatrick and Chris Gotterup's fellow newcomers, and which golfers disappointed bettors the most.

Plus, Matt, Kelley, and Wes reveal the players who made them the most money — and cost them the most — throughout the 2026 season, before closing the show with their unanimous PGA Tour Player of the Year selection.

The Long Shots crew looks back at the biggest moments, best performances, betting wins, painful losses, surprises, disappointments, and storylines from the 2026 golf season — and looks ahead to what could be next in 2027.
