2026 Baycurrent Classic Betting Preview

Matt Brown, Wes Reynolds, and Kelley Bydlon break down the Baycurrent Classic in Yokohama, Japan, formerly known as the Zozo Championship. The guys dive into the unique Yokohama Country Club layout, weather concerns, course history, key statistics, and the challenges of modeling a tournament with such a limited sample size.

The trio discusses how much distance, accuracy, approach play, par-four scoring, around-the-green play, and putting should matter this week, while also weighing the impact of recent form and the lack of reliable strokes-gained data.

Then it’s time to build the betting cards for the guys & they also discuss why this 72-player field should be viewed more like a 55-player betting field, the importance of fall FedExCup points, Japanese players in the field, equipment changes heading into the new season, and several long-shot options—including Takumi Kanaya at 100-1 and Matt McCarty at 130-1.
