PMS 2.0 1659 - First CFP Rankings Reaction, Watt Wednesday with JJ Watt, Rece Davis, In the Trenches with AQ Shipley, Everything DB with Darius Butler, & AJ Hawk

On today’s show, Pat, DBut, AJ Hawk, and the boys break down everything happening around the NFL with another edition of Everything DB, before heading In The Trenches with AQ Shipley after all hell breaks loose in the Thunderdome. Joining the progrum, College GameDay Host, Rece Davis, stops by to react to last night’s unveiling of the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season. Rece breaks down how the teams are grouped, the criteria the selection committee uses to evaluate each progrum, and some of the biggest surprises from the initial rankings. He also explains why fans should expect plenty of movement in the coming weeks, especially with several pivotal matchups on the horizon this weekend.  Shifting gears to the NFL, future Hall of Famer and CBS NFL Commentator, JJ Watt, joins the boys to discuss his brother TJ and the Pittsburgh Steelers’ dominant defensive performance against their AFC North rival Cleveland Browns, racking up eight sacks in Sunday’s matchup. JJ also breaks down fellow defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons’ monster debut with the Chicago Bears, as he filled up the stat sheet and wreaked havoc on the Seattle Seahawks. Keeping the conversation rolling, Jage weighs in on the Denver Broncos’ latest victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and why their continued success against Kansas City can no longer be written off as luck. He also dives into Minnesota’s quarterback situation and shares his thoughts on potential options for the Vikings as the NFL trade deadline approaches.  Make sure to subscribe to youtube.com/thepatmcafeeshow or watch on ESPN (noon–2 p.m. EST), ESPN’s YouTube channel (noon–3 p.m. EST), or ESPN+.
