MAILBAG: Tiny Hat Receives PROPS, CLUELESS Florida Fans, & Next FSU Head Coach

The Florida State Seminoles' head coaching future sparks heated debate as rival Florida Gators fans jump into the fray. Could FSU land top targets like Buster Faulkner, the current Gators offensive coordinator? Of course that’s possible, but do not tell the Gators fans invading the Locked On Seminoles YouTube page. Chiming in, Brian Smith highlights the importance of fit, administrative decisions, and booster support as the Seminoles search for a program-defining leader.

Key mailbag topics include the significance of recruiting in the NIL era, and whether documented coaching success–like Jimbo Fisher’s at FSU–is enough to reclaim national contention. Brian Smith explores how assistant hires, staff culture, and Tallahassee's unique community landscape will shape the next chapter in Florida State football. Which candidate best aligns with FSU's tradition—and which pitfalls could derail the Seminoles' return to glory?
