We have a lot of ground to cover on the latest edition of the Hawkeye Report Podcast. Tom Kakert and Kyle Huesmann are back and opening the show discussing basketball. On Wednesday the Big Ten Conference released their basketball schedules for the men and women, which means now we have full schedules for both Hawkeye teams. 

First, Huesmann talks about the schedule for the Iowa women and a couple of challenging parts of the schedule. What do we think of the overall schedule, including non-conference games. Then we slide over to the men's side where Iowa travel to Purdue to start the season for the third time in the last five years. We look at the overall challenging sections of the schedule for Ben McCollum's team this coming year. 

Then we move over to basketball recruiting. We have updates on three top targets for the Jan Jensen's squad and where the Hawkeyes stand with each of them. After that we move over to the men's basketball side of recruiting and the latest on Cayden Daughtry following his official visit to Iowa this past weekend. Plus we have four star guard Jaxson Davis no longer visiting Iowa this weekend. What does all of it mean? Is Iowa basically now pushing all their chips to the center of the table and going all in on Daughtry? 

Then we preview the game against Northern Iowa and go into detail about the players to watch and why this team isn't as good as they were the last few times Iowa played the Panthers. We also discuss the Iowa quarterback situation this weekend and a couple of key injuries for the Hawkeyes that might lead to players missing this weekends game.
