This week on the Chuck Long podcast, we are looking back at the Iowa Hawkeyes hard fought win over Iowa State to bring home the Cy-Hawk Trophy. We start the show this week with a discussion of the game against the Cyclones. While most thought it would be one-sided, it was close. Why did Iowa struggle against the Cyclone defense when it came to running the football? 

We look at potential counters to teams that might try the approach that Iowa State did regarding run blitzes and aggressively stacking the box. What can Iowa to do fix that and will teams simply try to make Hank Brown beat them? Could we see more shot plays like we saw this past week to Tony Diaz? We also discuss the route tree for Brown and if he is better throwing the ball in the middle of the field rather than the sideline throws. 

We look at the play from the Iowa defense and how they were run against more than expected, but the development of Cam Buffington has been very impressive. What is he doing so well on the field so far this season? 

We then take a trip around the Big Ten and it was generally a rough weekend for the conference with losses by Ohio State and Oregon. We then pick games from this weekend, including the UNI vs. Iowa game.
