I met Michaela Blomqvist the day before Western States. She stopped by our (Tonya Olson's) foot pre-taping tent at the expo. She's good friends with Tonya. Michaela was preparing for the biggest race of her somewhat short ultrarunning career the next day. She got in off the waitlist with 2 tickets in the lottery. She crushed it too!
