The winds of change in goal [Worthing (H) Review, Yeovil Town (A) Preview] - Season 26/27, Episode 6

The opening day certainly provided a bit of a wake-up call for the title favourites!

After a good first-half performance that had the Brunton Park faithful feeling cautiously optimistic, a second-half collapse saw the Blues fall to a 3-2 defeat against National League new boys Worthing. But there’s no time to dwell as we reflect on the weekend, digest more transfer business, and look ahead to a long trip down to Yeovil Town.

In this episode, we run through a busy week of news - including Gabe Breeze’s move to Cambridge United and the arrival of his replacement, Adam Desbois (yep, another signing from Gateshead!).

We then get stuck into the Worthing debrief: did the team simply run out of steam in the second half? Are we fitting square pegs in round holes? And what positives can we take from that encouraging first 45 minutes?

Finally, we turn our attention to Huish Park as we preview Saturday’s clash with Yeovil, where a familiar face in Archie Davies will be lining up against us for the first time since leaving Brunton Park in the summer.
