The Harrogate Hoodoo is over - and we only needed nine men! [Harrogate Town (H) Review. Altrincham (A) Preview] - Season 26/27, Episode 23

A night under the Brunton Park lights that nobody present will ever forget!

Facing our ultimate bogey side Harrogate Town, the Blues pulled off a frankly miraculous 3-0 victory - playing with nine men for around 70 minutes following two first-half red cards, defending like absolute gladiators, and sensationally scoring two of our three goals after being reduced to nine.

Before unpacking Tuesday night's madness, Lee, Nick, and Mike get stuck into a double dose of positive news: club captain Morgan Feeney committing his future to Brunton Park with a contract extension until 2029, and midfielder Callum Camps arriving on a two-month loan from Stockport County.

We then conduct the full Harrogate debrief - debating whether the dismissals were harsh, waxing lyrical about Feeney’s heroic man-of-the-match display at the back, marvelling at Ryan Galvin’s utterly ridiculous strike, and asking the big question: is this the iconic, galvanising result that truly wins over the fanbase for Rob Elliot?

From there, attention shifts to Saturday’s trip to Greater Manchester to take on this season's early surprise package, Altrincham. Sitting pretty in the play-offs a third of the way into the campaign, the Robins look set for a much stronger season thanks to some astute summer recruitment. We preview the clash, look at the reunion storyline with strikers Regan Linney and Kristian Dennis both facing their former clubs, and explore how United reshuffle the pack if our red card appeals don't go our way.
