July is a big month for athletics in the UK, with two major events on the horizon.
Firstly, the Diamond League is headed for London and is promising to live up to the hype. A number of the world’s biggest names will be competing at the Olympic Stadium and Josh Kerr will be going for the long-standing mile world record, while fireworks are also expected in both the women’s and men’s 800m races.
Just a few days later, the athletics action will get under way at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. This will be a stripped back version of the event but, with a number of major stars having committed to competing, there is still lots to look forward to.
Host Euan Crumley is joined by Jason Henderson and Tim Adams to pick through all of it and dive into the big talking points.
