This week, I’m excited to bring you my conversation with another all-time great in track and field: Valerie Adams, a two-time Olympic champion and four-time world champion in the shot put. Valerie retired just a few months after the Tokyo Olympics, where she won her fourth Olympic medal, a bronze that meant a lot to her, and you’ll understand why when you hear this episode.
I had the chance to meet Valerie at the World Indoor Championships in Torun, where she was serving as an ambassador for World Athletics. It’s a shorter episode than usual, but it gives you a great insight into her incredible journey.
You’re currently listening to the original episode in English, but for anyone who feels more comfortable in French, there’s also a dubbed version available in the podcast feed.
Enjoy!
