405. Alanyaspor 1-0 Beşiktaş | The Alanya SCREWJOB!

Beşiktaş suffer their first defeat of the 2026/27 Süper Lig season after a highly controversial 1-0 away loss to Alanyaspor, conceding their first goal of the campaign in a match dominated by contentious refereeing decisions.

The Black Eagles once again struggle in Alanya, with Beşiktaş still unable to win at Alanyaspor since their title-winning 2020-21 Süper Lig campaign. But this latest defeat will be remembered for the controversial officiating of referee Adnan Deniz Kayatepe.

Within the opening 20 minutes, two major decisions went against Beşiktaş. In the 8th minute, Alanyaspor defender Aliti appeared to deliberately strike Leandro Trossard in the face with his palm while the ball was nowhere near the incident. Despite VAR reviewing the incident and speaking with the referee for more than a minute, Aliti was not sent off nor did he receive a yellow card.

Then, in the 19th minute, Oh Hyeon-Gyu appeared to score a perfectly good goal, only for the referee to disallow it after again Aliti went down during the build-up. Later in the match, a very similar duel involving Dusan Vlahovic did not result in a penalty, raising serious questions about consistency in the officiating.

Beşiktaş dominated much of the first half and looked the stronger side, pressing effectively and repeatedly winning the ball during the first and second waves of their press. However, Salih Özcan was forced off after taking a knock, and Beşiktaş's pressing intensity dropped dramatically after his substitution in the second half.

Alanyaspor began enjoying much longer spells of possession in the second half, eventually breaking through the Beşiktaş press too frequently. Their pressure finally told in the 73rd minute when Lima headed home from a corner to make it 1-0. The first game the Black Eagles concede under Vincenzo Italiano in 7 official matches.

Beşiktaş pushed for an equaliser, with Dusan Vlahovic seeing two efforts saved by Alanyaspor goalkeeper Paulo Victor. There were also numerous shirt pulls and physical challenges that went unpunished as the referee allowed play to continue.

The match ended 1-0 with zero cards shown, adding another layer of controversy to an already frustrating night for Beşiktaş.
