Jean-Francois Berube: Making a Three-Goalie System Work in the NHL (Ep. 367)

Episode 367 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features former NHL goalie and current Anaheim Jr. Ducks goalie coach Jean-Francois Berube.

In the feature interview, presented by NHL Sense Arena, Berube shares valuable insights from a 12-year pro career that included time with the New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets, including being a mentor to Jet Greaves (per Greaves), and how he managed a three-goalie system with the Islanders long before they became common. That last one is great advice for goalies and coaches facing the same in today's NHL, and is just one of many examples of the lessons from the pro career, including learning from coaches, playing partners, and even this podcast, that make this a can't-miss interview with a true student of the position.

In the latest Parent Playbook, presented by Stop It Goaltending U the App, Hutch explains why mindset can be a goaltending superpower and how you can help your young goalie build it -- and with it, a positive identity.

We also review the latest Pro Reads, presented by Vizual Edge, featuring Dustin Wolf with more advice on plays behind the net, and a continuation of his evolution in managing them.

And in our weekly gear segment we look at the True Catalyst 5X6 line -- the cheapest option available at The Hockey Shop Source for Sports -- but we explain why they're not cheap on feel or value.
