Anthon Hansson: From Retiring at 19 to Team Sweden Goalie Coach (Ep. 374)

Episode 374 of the InGoal Radio Podcast, presented by The Hockey Shop Source for Sports, features an informative conversation with Swedish goalie coach Anthon Hansson.

In the feature interview, presented by NHL Sense Arena, Hansson walks us through his unique path into goalie coaching from a young age, starting by going back to school to get a sports science degree after he finished playing at age 19. Now, at just 34 years old, he's in his seventh season with Brynäs IF in the SHL, and has also worked with Sweden's national team staff as goalie coach and video coach, including the World Championships, 4 Nations Face-Off and Olympics. His unique path -- and the lessons learned along the way, including a few things he wouldn't do again -- and insights into goalie coaching in Sweden make this a can't-miss interview.

In the Parent Playbook, presented by Stop it Goaltending U the App, Hutch answers a submitted question specifically about helping younger goalies, with some great advice on being curious and embarking on the journey of learning this great position together.

We also review the latest Pro Reads, presented by Vizual Edge, with Alex Nedeljkovic sharing some great insights into the importance of the inside edge when navigating plays behind the net.
