DARREN PANG | Ice Guardians Ep 52

Kelly Chase and Brett Hull sit down with former Chicago Blackhawks goalie and NHL broadcaster Darren Pang. Panger speaks on how little broadcasting has changed in his time doing it and tells the guys how he got his start in the industry during his playing career. Chaser tells the story of his first TV broadcast and the advice he got from Jack Buck and the guys laugh about a time when a retired Hully got hurt and had to miss a few rounds of golf. Panger talks about his youth hockey days and some of the other NHLers that he grew up around. The guys talk about some goalies that deserve to be in the HOF and Hully and Panger talk about some Team USA memories from the 2002 Olympics. Panger goes into more detail on his broadcast career path and shares how his former teammates in Chicago made the transition to broadcasting easier for him. Chaser and Panger remember the time they went to see Pat Maroon play as a kid and talk about the new podcast Panger and Big Rig will be doing.
