What Do the Avalanche Need to Change After the Recent Stretch of Subpar Play?

Colorado Avalanche fans question the team’s urgency as a frustrating performance streak raises alarms. With star Gabriel Landeskog bluntly stating “we sucked,” is it time for coach Jared Bednar to shake up the lines or stay patient? Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson break down the Avalanche’s recent lack of execution, missed puck battles, and overreliance on talent, sparking debate about whether small adjustments or bigger changes are needed.

Key topics include Nathan MacKinnon’s role, social media overreactions, and whether shot quantity could reignite the offense. Listeners weigh in on the team’s mindset, the search for “greasy” goals over pretty plays, and the importance of consistent speed. Closing with analysis of Connor Hellebuyck’s trade to the New Jersey Devils and its impact on the Western Conference, the show offers critical insights into what’s next for the Avalanche in a pivotal moment of the NHL season.
