Getting An OT Point Just Doesn't Seem Satisfying in Avalanche Loss to Predators

Colorado Avalanche drop a frustrating 3-2 overtime loss to the Nashville Predators, raising questions about their speed, execution, and elusive killer instinct. Is the Avalanche’s high-octane identity slipping away just as the playoff race heats up?

Chris Micieli and Zach Pearson scrutinize key moments, including Devon Toews’ standout overtime performance—and controversial penalty—alongside Nathan MacKinnon’s unusually quiet night. The conversation zeroes in on special teams failures, lackluster energy from both team and fans at Ball Arena, and whether Coach Jared Bednar’s recent line changes can restore the Avalanche’s trademark intensity. With shoutouts to Mackenzie Blackwood’s strong play in net and listener soundchecks that echo the team’s struggles, the episode explores what’s missing from Colorado’s game and previews must-win scenarios ahead.

Will the Avalanche rediscover their spark before it’s too late?
